EuPN Newsletter Spring 2025
The new EuPN has now been live for just over two years. During that time, we’ve grown to nearly 200 members, including 41 teachers—11 of whom are Assured Teachers. Our database now features 186 projects and places, with 6 Certified EuPN PermaHubs.
While our numbers are encouraging, we’ve also identified some structural challenges. To meet them, we’re moving toward a new organisational model. In the coming months, we’ll introduce a Core Council, made up of 3 to 5 members. Expect more details in the summer edition of our newsletter.
PermaTalks
Volume 5 of our online lecture series PermaTalks was our most diverse and engaging yet. A big thank you to all the teachers, participants, and co-hosts—we learned a lot and had plenty of fun along the way. The recordings will be made public by the end of August. Can’t wait that long? Season passes are still available.
And remember: after the PermaTalks is before the PermaTalks.

New Assured Teachers and Certified PermaHubs

In every issue, we highlight a selection of new additions to our Places & Projects list. One of EuPN’s long-term goals is to host a rich and diverse map of permaculture initiatives across Europe.
IGOR, Lifelong Learning Centre in Nature - Croatia
IGOR, Lifelong Learning Centre in Nature is located on a permaculture farm covering approximately 10 hectares in the rural area of the Republic of Croatia, in Slavonia (a historical-geographical region in the eastern part of Croatia), in the village of Marindvor, near the city of Požega.
Sieglindes Nature- and Forest-Garden "NaturArcheLeben"
For many years, we have been cultivating our natural and forest garden alpin conditions, on a steep slope, according to the ethics and principles of permaculture. This provides us with valuable organic vegetables, fruit, and wild plants. In various biotopes, we promote natural diversity and create connections between people, animals, and plants.
We are currently founding the association NaturArcheLeben, which will bring together our activities such as guided tours, lectures, and networking.
LIVING LAB Podravlje
LIVING LAB Podravlje is an outdoor educational and experimental site dedicated to permaculture, sustainable and smart agriculture. It is situated in Podravlje and established by OSPERA, an independent permaculture association from Osijek working since 2013. The lab serves as a learning hub for everyone from the local community with a focus on children and youth.
Following permaculture principles, the space integrates regenerative farming, biodiversity conservation, and circular economy practices.
Keela Permaculture Farm
Keela is a large homestead spanning 18 hectares, functioning as a permaculture farm, off-grid retreat center, and a hub for permaculture education. Established in 2016, it primarily serves as our residence where we live sustainably and in tune with nature.
