Dominik Jais

I'm deeply involved in permaculture and regenerative systems, both in theory and practice.

At my project (and website) Beyond Buckthorns I document practical permaculture experiments and sustainable living in Finland.

Currently I am the driving force behind the European Permaculture Network and I mainly develop its digital infrastructure, including teacher assurance, project certification, and open user systems across several interconnected websites.

I have a background in digital technology, marketing, and web development, and I'm operating the company Chase & Snow with my partner Lumia.

I'm the author of the “Digital Permaculture” book, which explores the intersection of permaculture ethics and digital infrastructure.

I'm engaged in Erasmus+ projects under the umbrella of Vihreä Pourusmäki, and supports community-based learning and experimentation.
