Earthed Up! at Belper Lane End

Earthed Up! is an agroecological plant nursery. We grow and sell edible & useful plants. Also, we offer a Soil Health Range, including: organic peat free compost, biochar, natural plant feed, vermicompost & bokashi.

Our small garden is the hub of all activity - here we grow all the plants, run courses, and you can see many plants on display.

La Vita Sukha

A global survey has revealed that one-third of people experience loneliness, with some countries reporting rates as high as 50%.  Not only are people statistically unhappy, but our demand on our planet’s resources is also unsustainable. Humanity currently consumes resources 50% faster than nature can regenerate them. Addressing these critical issues requires innovative solutions.

Claud-du-Moine

Claud du moine is our family farm nestled on a hill in the heart of the fortified towns of the Périgord Noir, in the Dordogne, in France. When we asked ourselves how we would organise our land, we quickly came up with permaculture, no dig gardening, holistic management, keyline design, regenerative agriculture, permaculture orchard, water-management, transition towns, heritage varieties of plants, and so much more.

Medicinal Forest Garden Trust

The Medicinal Forest Garden Trust aims to promote sustainable cultivation of healing plants. Health and wellbeing can benefit from planting medicinal trees and shrubs. We can become more self-sufficient and more independent from imported medicinal herb products. Introduced non-native species can contribute to the mix by offering even more kinds of healing actions. These medicinal trees and shrubs offer many other benefits for the environment. Whether working or walking in a medicinal forest garden, there is potential for wellbeing for people.

Can Gaia

Can Gaia is a permaculture hub-education-demo-and research site in Mallorca, Spain. It is just shy of 1 hector (9000+m) with mixed garden food forest including 250 fruit trees, many of them citrus, olives, stone fruits and other multi story species. Can Gaia is a new active site in evolution with ongoing bio-constrution, water-wise projects and appropriate/alternative energy in development. Increasing biodiversity and including animals into the systems supports include chickens, ducks and family living here (Mandy Merklein).
