Transylvania Permaculture Campfire 2024

The Permaculture Campfire is THE highlight of the Permaculture year. Started as a spontaneous gathering of permaculture enthusiasts at Dupa Gard last year, we have spared no expense and effort for this year to offer you a very special spectacle. The aim is to connect the permaculture community of Romania with the German-speaking (and beyond) community. Workshops on the topic of forest gardens (with Reinhard Engelhardt from Austria) and wild herbs (Cristina Colis) offer you the opportunity to dive deeper into these topics, while a colorful supporting program around mindfulness & yoga offers a good balance. Live music is listened to around the evening campfire, while the magnificent sky over the Carpathian Mountains uniquely sets the scene for the meteor shower of the Perseids.

DETAILS: Accommodation in your own tent, otherwise we offer a limited number of sleeping places (glamping, tiny house or community room barn) on request (please inquire in advance!). Outdoor shower with cold water available, composting toilets. Everyone brings his own food, a fire pit with a large pot is provided. Depending on availability, we top it off with fresh perma-vegetables from the garden. Please bring your own personal crockery. We recommend bringing sun and rain protection, as well as warm clothes for our cool Carpathian nights. If you want to take the opportunity for a hike in our ingenious mountain world: large water bottles, sun protection and sturdy hiking boots are mandatory.

RULES: 1. personal responsability: we accept no liability for any damage during the event, we are all together responsible and take care of each other 
2. this is a non-discriminatory and non-violent event, in words and acts. be kind 
3. strict no drug policy during sunlight hours, this includes alcohol. after sundown its tolerated but please continue acting responsibly
4. no pets allowed  it disturbes the event and the local ecosystem

Due to our low capacities here (and because we want to keep the meeting small), tickets are limited, we recommend making a reservation in advance. For people with limited financial means, we offer special prices. The normal price (everyone gives what they can) goes from 40€-100€. Give what you can, help us sustain the event. Everything beyond 100€ goes as a donation towards the project Dupa Gard.
