
Our homestead is a small but growing family project launched in 2024 when we bought our 0.2 ha plot nestled between a mature oak forest, the sea, and the mountains — right on the Basque border between France and Spain.
After volunteering around Europe learning about farming and living environmentally friendly, we came back home to acquire an abandoned farm. We repair the house by hand and restore the greenness of the space while taking our first steps in permaculture. Our goal is to live in harmony with the environment and ourselves, a slow natural life.

Bogata Šuma means Rich Forest in Croatian. And rich it is! We're living in an edible landscape that slowly transforms into a polyculture nut orchard.
