Joel's Forest Garden & Nut Trials

Joel's forest garden was established in 2011 on a former cereal field. The site is now developing towards an edible landscape where nut trees, several fruit & berry producing species and many edible perennials flourish. The land area in total is over 6 hectares, which is mostly forest and includes 1,4 ha certified organic field. The site is partly in a nature reserve area.

Since 2015 the forest garden has been a site for annual forest gardening courses led by Joel Rosenberg. Recently more focus have been put to nut cultivation trials. Joel planted his first hazel bushes already in 2007 and has now over 150 nut trees & bushes including walnuts (Juglans regia).
