Ghana Permaculture Institute is the first pioneering Permaculture Institute in Ghana, established in 2004 by the late Dr. Paul Yeboah. As part of its training and empowerment program. GPI together with its partner, Southern Network for Environmental Development in Berlin is implementing a project in improving the economic life of peasant farmers in the permaculture value chain through the expansion of the GPI agribusiness center. This project seeks to directly train 2120 youth, women, and peasant farmers in 4 regions of Ghana and over 5000 people indirectly benefit from the project. GPI Farmers Award and Project Launch

On 20th of October, Ghana Permaculture Institute is launching the GPI/SONED/BMZ project on improving economic wellbeing of farmers in the permaculture value chain through the expansion of the GPI agribusiness center and also awarding 3 key peasant farmers who has long joined the permaculture network and also practice the permaculture system on their field and also supply quality moringa leaves and seeds to GPI. The Farmers Award and Project Launch will bring together key stakeholders in the municipality to honor, create their awareness about the GPI activities and farmers and also build a synergy among farmers and stakeholders.
