A youth educational center for permaculture in Crete, Greece. Syntrofia Permaculture project is a demonstration site for different techniques like cob, rammed earth, wattle and daub (bamboo with cob), adobe bricks, lime plaster and natural colors.Syntrofia has a permaculture designed syntropic food forest and a no-till garden using the regenerative farming principles. This means using activated compost, green manure, effective microorganisms and natural remedies for nutrition of the plants.The project is designed with a social focus based on the ethical principles of permaculture, which encompass: its economic activities and the distribution of its products, educational activities for young people in collaboration with international trainers, participation in national and pan-European networks of eco-enterprises and communities, promotion of social permaculture through events in Chania and collaboration with permaculture academies abroad.

Mireille Lewis, who runs Permaculture Västergården, is a Certified Permaculture Designer. The farm has a solid design that extends over 2.55 hectares of land and is an accredited Permaculture LAND center since 2019.
