Danijel Višak

Like many ordinary people, Danijel has lived numerous stories within one lifetime, believing each to be the "right" one at the time.  His inspiration stems from his childhood imagination where he would live out the extremes of saving lives as a Police Officer, to expressing himself through art and poetry. Now, however, he understands that his journey of finding his true story continues.

Over the years, he has gained profound insights into the cost of life, the price of societal status, and the comfort—and constraints—of staying within familiar comfort zones.

In the early 2000s, Danijel began searching for answers to pressing global challenges, including humanity's relationship with the planet. His journey led him to permaculture, a philosophy and practice rooted in principles, ethics, and designs for sustainable environments and thriving communities.

Danijel completed a PDC - Permaculture Design Certificate in Croatia under the mentorship of Gordana Dragičević and her permaculture team of educators. He expanded his work by collaborating with the permaculture community, the association Croatian Permaculture, the Croatian online permaculture portal and local community projects.

Alongside his studies, Danijel participated in workshops such as “A Good Start for Sustainable Neighborhoods – Rijeka” and “Empowering Local Communities 2023 – Zagreb”  facilitated by the Permaculture Croatia association and collaborators, and completed the course “Forest Gardening” with Gordana Dragičević. Currently, he contributes to projects like Voices of Transition and Curiosoil, solidifying his dedication to sustainable living.

His passion is to share a story with young people and to inspire a new generation of thinkers and creators. Their creativity and energy can be the germ from which grow sustainable and regenerative solutions for our planet..

What drives Danijel is a profound love for life—a life where all beings are equal under the vast blue sky and infinite universe. He is inspired by the call of untold stories and believes the world is waiting eagerly to hear them.
