EuPN Structure

EuPN operates with a flat hierarchy and as few formal roles as possible.

Different groups have emerged where necessary, either through practical requirements or by design.

Legal and Operational Structure

The EuPN website is legally operated by Vihreä Pourusmäki ry (Finland). Chase & Snow provides the technical infrastructure and development services under agreement with Vihreä Pourusmäki.

This structure ensures legal clarity, operational stability, and long-term continuity of the digital platform.

Community Stewardship

EuPN operates as a community-stewarded platform.

This means that the legal and operational responsibility is held by Vihreä Pourusmäki ry, while the content, activity, and value of the platform are created by its members.

The platform is not privately owned and is not shareholder-driven. It is stewarded in trust for the wider permaculture community.

Operational responsibility and community participation are intentionally combined to balance stability with openness.

Core Council

The platform is supported by a small advisory group called the “Core Council.”

The Core Council meets approximately one hour per month to reflect on direction, discuss strategic questions, and provide feedback on major decisions. It does not manage operations and does not hold legal responsibility.

The platform is supported by a small "Outreach" group.

They coordinate and create internal member mailings, newsletter mailings, social media postings, etc.
