Global Call for Permaculture Research: Bridging Science and Practice

The International Permaculture CoLab is starting a community-driven effort to elevate permaculture research and spark more public discourse around permaculture as a tool for addressing today’s global challenges—climate change, food security, biodiversity loss, and social justice.

Our aim is simple:

To spotlight existing research, build dialogue between researchers and practitioners, and make permaculture research more visible and accessible.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Researchers with peer-reviewed publications on permaculture or related themes.
  • Practitioners who have contributed to action research, case studies, or community-led research with academic outputs.
  • Scholars interested in bridging the gap between research and practice.

What we want from you:

If this speaks to you—or if there’s a particular part of this call-out that feels relevant—please send us a short email introducing yourself and your research.

Email us at: contact [at] perma [dot] earth (contact[at]perma[dot]earth)

Please include:

  • A brief overview of your research focus
  • Links to any publications (if available)
  • Which part of this initiative you’re most interested in (e.g., visibility, practitioner-researcher dialogue, knowledge exchange, etc.)
